Favourite

I have a slight problem with my back today, so my options for photography were relatively limited. I have a very large number of favourite things, each one in a different category, so it was simply a matter of choice of something I could actually get to. I am fond of very high quality sound and most modern systems do not appear to give this, so my Hifi system has taken a great deal of effort to obtain. Unfortunately the system was still in its assembly stage when I damaged my back so it is mounted in a 19 inch half height rack, which much to Mrs GOG’s disgust is still sitting in our lounge. The system consists of two Yamaha NS690 studio monitor speakers (seen in the background), together with a Yamaha amplifier which was designed to match these speakers. Other items of the system, apart from the Yamaha CD/DVD at the bottom, are all studio equipment. I have measured the distortion levels of this equipment and it is about 0.02% at maximum output, so it is well below a detectable level. The speakers also generate less than 0.1% measured at any listenable output. Overall the performance is spectacular and this is one of my favourite things, although it still needs to be placed in its intended location, without this rack.
