I remember the day well, delivered to the sound of the BBC Light programs news report, Castro had been sworn in, disaster struck when the dam on the River Tera in Spain breached taking 139 lives as it coursed through a local village, Paul de Maleingreau hummed his last note, Pat O'Conner beat Dick Hutton to become The NWA champ & Clint Eastwood made the ladies swoon in the first episode of Rawhide.
Sorry to say there was no report on my safe delivery into this world, no fireworks, no brass band, no applause, even that first slap and following yell did little to excite a nation, perhaps I'll get the horse drawn gun carriage & a plot in Westminster Abby by the time of my demise but until then can you guess what year I was born?
