Woodland walks

This afternoon we took the bus out to Roslin where we met two of oour lovely friends for a nice stroll back through the woodland to their house in Penicuik. You can get nearly the entire way without leaving the wood. It was beautiful, lots of lovely abandoned mills, pretty fungi and lovely sunsets. I had a number of good choices for today, but went with this one.

We warmed up in front of their wood stove with tea and apple cake before catching the last (early evening) bus home. An absolutely delightful day.
