La puerta al silencio - The door to the Silence

De siempre me han gustado las construcciones medievales, románicas y góticas. Sus imponentes muros y espacios consiguen aislar temporalmente al individuo de los problemas del día a día y elevarlo a un estado superior, menos viciado por el entorno.

Así pues, esta es la puerta que separa el interior del mundanal ruido exterior (sonidos, mensajes, conversaciones, problemas reales o ficticios,...). Tomo la foto desde fuera aunque en realidad no pocas veces me adentraría a buscar un momento de paz y recogimiento. Bueno, reservaremos dichos placeres para los viajes, esos que tanto anhelo y que pronto espero se hagan realidad.

I always liked the medieval, Romanesque and Gothic buildings. Its imposing walls and spaces get temporarily isolate the individual from the problems of everyday life and get them to a higher state, less tainted by the environment.

So this is the door that separates the inside from the madding crowd (sounds, messages, conversations, real or fictional problems, ...). I take the photo from outside but many moments I'ld like to get inside for peace and meditation. Well, I'll wait for these pleasures in my coming travels, hoping they come really soon.
