Bus Challenge No 1
Lady Hare on Dog, 1999 by Sophie Ryder
Sophie Ryder creates beings which are part animal, part human, "characters beyond animal form," as she describes them. The Lady-Hare was devised as a companion for the Minotaur, although in this work his place is taken by the dog. To Ryder the Lady-Hare's ears represent human hair, and the figure can be interpreted as a self portrait." Victoria Art Gallery, Bath
I've set myself a new challenge! Each week I hope to visit somewhere 'interesting', travelling near and far by bus, in search of something new, and of course a blip!!
Today I started with an easy option and took the bus to Bath, and the Victoria Art Gallery. By chance, Thursday was 'Meet The Artist' day and I had a personal guided tour of Ione Parkin's exhibition. It's fun being a tourist for the day!!
Total bus journey times = 50 mins
