Where is this?

That's what I said when I saw this photo as the January entry to one of our office calendars.

I thought the colours looked great and after the miserable start to the year I thought the location must be somewhere exotic. Unbeknown to me it is of one of our favourite haunts-yes it's Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots.

Hopefully the weather was like this in January way back then, because I can't remember it looking like this in January with all the warm colours and that special glow.

I'm away for a look.
