Or for a long time. This is a section of the the line to Longridge from Preston closed in 1967 although the line continued to run freight to the Courtauld’s works until the mid 80's and a local coal yard until 1994.
There has been talk of building a light rail line on the old track bed but I fear it's only a dream.
