Hold the Gherkin

London is a city that confounds me.

I spotted the famous Gherkin building walking back from Lunch today, sticking out behind the less than salubrious flats, not a stones throw from London City.

I'm always amazed by the juxtaposition of the old, grimy and sad buildings against the new, shiny and mega expensive.
