White post farm
Tonight we went to white post farm for some christmassy fun.
It didn't open until 5pm so it was dark when we got there. First stop was the reptile house which was bigger than I remembered and had some great access points so that both babies could get up nice and close without me and Mark having to pick them up all the time. Erin came face to face with a huge carp fish. Some of a large tank had a screen that she didn't notice until she was so close and she did a good old squeal and a little run (yes we did laugh a bit)
We went through to the in door farm next where there were pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits and best of all reindeers!! The babies just loved stroking all the animals and they were all very tame. Caleb still had to tell the goats to get down but he thinks that's fun :)
We went through to what can only be described as a wonderland next. There was indoor sledging on dry slopes and a soft play in the first area. Erin went by her self and me and Mark took it in turns to take Caleb.
Erin then showed us how grown up she is and held a guinea pig at the petting farm. She stayed nice and still and didn't need any help from the elf (farm worker)
The next zone was again very magical looking and this was where we needed to go to see the big man.
We queued and waited and waited some more and the elf let us in, Erin had already took a sneaky peek through a window.
Caleb did the same as the other day, said hi Santa waved and then clung to me.
Santa spoke Erin while Caleb relaxed a bit.
Santa: 'have you been good?'
Erin: yes
Santa: should I ask mummy and daddy?
Erin: oh no!
Think he got the idea :)
He asked Caleb for a high five and he was straight over. Then handed out gifts and asked both of them if they would like their photo. Caleb was too busy trying to get into his present to even remember that he didn't quite like him, so stood and smiled!
We made some reindeer dust and Erin had her fave painted and we headed home as it was already 7.
I just love Christmas and days like this x
