Mackerel sky

The Watchtower in the Heathlands, set against a stunning mackerel sky which duly heralded a major change in the weather. The Watchtower was used until 1960 to keep an eye on wildfires in the area; after that time, it fell into disuse as spotter planes took over the role. It was restored in the 90s.
