Spool knitting

I've been experimenting with different kinds of jewelry making. I found some metal wire and I've seennyou can crotchet that to make beautiful things.
But I can not crotchet, I found out. Can't knit either, but spool knitting works for me. And with the wire apparently.
Now trying to find or make a smaller spool to hopefully make the knit a bit tidier or smaller.
