School Trip

Went with Amethyst's class on a trip to Segedunum in Wallsend. Well, the kids were okay and we did almost lose at least two of them on the Metro but all in all a successful trip out.

When the guide was describing the various ways that the Romans "bathed" themselves the look of horror filled their faces - I mean what kid actually likes baths?

This blip is the fountain within the steam room (Caldarium), and it was amazing how many of the kids tried desperately to get as wet as possible in a puddle of water the size of a baking tray!
