Big Day Out

Went to the water fun park Adventure World today with my youngest son and all the guys that he lives with and all the associated people who care for them. The guys all have special needs and a day out to a place like this takes quite a bit of coordinating!

A lot of fun was had by all and tonight I have so many aches and pains and muscles hurting, my eyes are all red, I'm sunburnt in a few places and so very tired from so much fun ;) From water slides to roller coaster rides at least some of us attempted it all and these memories will stay with us all for a long time!

Kahuna Falls is a lot of watery fun. There are hoses everywhere that you can use to squirt dry people and water buckets filling up and tipping on the unsuspecting! That big bucket on top slowly fills up and then tips down onto the cheering crowd below! The force of the water is incredibly strong and heavy and exhilarating and I found myself going back for 'just one more' more than a few times!

We almost planned this day out for tomorrow and now we are so glad we didn't! It's going to be 44c and it wouldn't have been good to spend the day outdoors in that kind of heat! As it was today was 36c for a little while until the sea breeze swept in and cooled us down!
