What delicate workmanship

This lovely picture was brought back as a present for me by Eldest son from Brunei. It is made by hand ..... using slivers of wood & thin veneers. Very intricate & time consuming.

I have finally found the right frame for it & it is now hanging proudly in the hall :-)

The answer to yesterday's 'guess what?': It was a close-up of a knot in the fence wood ....... so many of you were right with wood ...... but nobody guessed that it was a knot! Do hope you enjoyed it ..... I will try to come up with some more ....... harder one next time!!!!
