Encroaching
Huginha's territorial claims are expanding. Now it's my laptop tray, squashing my hat into the bargain. There's no holding her.
Running errands in Copa this morning, but had a chat with the little lady who used to make and sell artificial flowers on the corner of our road, including a beautiful silk rose I wore to our daughter's wedding. She had all sorts of health problems - cancer, high blood pressure and joint problems, but was always there, sitting on her little stool, until eventually she was chased off by men who wanted protection money. Always meant to get a photo of her and never did until today - she's now helping at a stall a couple of streets over. Alas, the shot didn't turn out well, so the cat wins out again.
On to a shop that I believe is disappearing now in the UK - would haberdashery be the right word? A treasure trove of ribbons and reels, braids and buttons, everything you might need for sewing. The conversation while I bought my Velcro amused me - we pretty much covered sex, marriage and politics, not necessarily in that order.
Now have to run, HH champing to set out for the hills.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
