Spot the oddity

The Golden Fleece, Stroud, now sadly not the community pub it used to be since the landlord, Rodda Thomas, moved on. Luckily for us, he took over our local, the Crown and Sceptre. This is now THE pub to go to.

I was unable to go and throw rotten eggs at the Sec of State for Education, Michael Gove, as he paid a surprise visit to our local boys' grammar school, Marling. CleanSteve went along, but the dastardly devil slipped in the back door so he didn't have to face his opponents.

My nephew goes to a school that is, since its forced conversion to academy status, run by Carphone Warehouse. What does a mobile phone company know about running schools?
