Dying Embers

That's the end of another week, a cool winter's evening warmed by the power of fire.

Beyond work today, which as usual consumed most of it, we managed to conquer two shirt buttons that were seemingly beyond the capabilities of a seven year old to open (its surprising what can be achieved when you put your mind to it).

Then the eldest small person in the house was requested to kindly refrain from banging on the bathroom floor as her young brother was trying to sleep. It turned out she was and I quote, "creating a cyclic pattern". There was no arguing with that, but fortunately it did end abruptly.
