Tea leaves
I was given the wonderful Heston Blumenthal tea maker for Christmas. My husband was rather cynical about this, but we have been shocked but just how good the tea is! Obviously a lot of science involved in a Hestonesque way.
Anyway, back to using tealeaves again, and I was struck by how abstract the leaves looked when tipped out afterwards for composting. Almost looks like chocolate.
Having happily used teabags for years, we were shocked on visiting a tea plantation in Sri Lanka, to see that on their scale of grading of the teas, the bottom grade, used for teabags was called "dust"! Having got my Rolls Royce tea machine in action, I now see why they call it that.
