Waves In The Sun

I am a sucker for abstract images. Tonight, while shooting waves at sunset I zoomed in to check the focus and discovered amazing patterns in the splashing water. I instantly switched gears from the overall shots I was getting to ever tighter photos of the wave crests. Many, many images later I was left with quite the collection of abstract water shots. Many were out of focus, and eventually discarded, but I managed a dozen or so that were reasonably sharp and a handful that were perfect. It was hard to narrow my choice to a single image, but this one of the bouncing water drops ended up on top. View large for the full effect (this is approximately what I saw when I checked the focus on the back of the camera). I will definitely be doing this again.
