The Grand Canyon!

We took a day trip bus tour out to the Grand Canyon today. A very long journey but worth it for the breath-taking scenery and it's a place I have always wanted to visit. Here we are at the South-Rim of the Canyon.

The Canyon is 277 miles long and 18 miles wide, with a depth of over a mile! The area has been inhabited by native Americans within the Canyon for thousands of years and this is still a very sacred place for them. Recent evidence suggests the Colorado River established its course through the Canyon at least 17 million years ago.
