Scammonden's Seventh Stanza Stone

Scammonden now has its own Stanza Stone, part of the poetry trail across West Yorkshire created by by Simon Armitage.

On this one, Simon has selected words and phrases written by others as part of the project, all describing the unique West Yorkshire landscape. My favourite quote is "bless a new sky".

Today's sky was certainly new, and ever changing - now, when I am at home helping my daughter to revise for an exam this week, the sky is clear and blue. The light was soft for a while here at Scammonden, but the wind was biting.
