Beach clean up

The recent storms have turned up all sorts of rubbish on the beach. So, recently a Facebook group got together and set up a beach clean up date for today. Everyone descended on the beach around 11am armed with gloves and rubbish bags. Local RNLI people have given out advice on what NOT to pick up (unexploded bombs etc). The local seascouts are involved and lots of families. Great work!

Today is my grand-daughter's birthday. She's eight today. How the years fly past. It seems not long ago when we were all dealing with the death of her little newborn baby sister and she was struggling to cope with it. Now she has a 10 month old baby brother who she loves dearly.
