Compton Lock
Compton Lock this morning on the River Itchen. It was cold and beautiful and very very wet, but this lovely chap seemed properly prepared and kindly let me point my camera in his direction. He was fishing for grayling (the trout season being past, as I now know!), but the only thing I saw him catch was a young salmon (he gave it its technical name, but I'm afraid I can remember this), which he quickly threw back.
There were also lots of folks out exercising themselves, their kids and their dogs. Oh, and another photographer who I tried to introduce to Blip. I'm not sure he took the bait any more than the grayling appeared to be doing.
Happy Saturday xx
