It has been a beautiful sunny day today and if out of the wind the sun did have a bit of warmth in it.

After the Ladies Do breakfast at church today we went into Staines to get those last minute bits needed for the holiday. (3 days to go). we went to the little stream in the Two Rivers shopping centre. We were surprised to see these swans but not at how high the stream had become. here are a couple of links of the same stream from last year here and here. The swans are above the wier where the herons are standing so it must be a good 4-6 foot high.

here are a few shots of the Thames at Penton Hook lock. It must be devasting for the people on the opposite bank to have been flooded . these little houses are islands in their own right at the moment. We heard today that the Thames is rising at the rate of 1 inche per 4 hours and will continue to do so for the next 3 days even without further rain.
