Farmhouse

This farm is now empty and the buildings are derelict. Strewn around the place, in the long grass, are old pieces of agricultural machinery, abandoned where they were last used. The implement in the foreground is a potato lifter.

The land is rented out to other farmers and there are bales of silage stored in the relative shelter between the buildings. All the tractors' comings and goings have really churned up the ground and it is a real quagmire - a dog's delight!

A mixed day with lovely bright spells between odd showers, but bitterly cold.
