Las marismas negras (The black marshes)

Esto es lo que queda de los eucalipticos que hace años poblaban esta zona. Se decidió abrir dos canales en los diques construidos para contener las aguas de la ría. De esta manera el agua va subiendo poco a poco y puede darse el caso de ver la ría en plena marea alta mientras que las marismas negras todavía no se han llenado. Esto da mucha riqueza de aves en el lugar.

This is what remains of the eucalyptus trees that inhabited this area for years. It was decided to open two channels in the levees built to contain the waters of the estuary. In this way the water is rising gradually and you can see the estuary at full high tide while the black marshes have not been filled yet. This gives great wealth of birds in the area.
