Viburnum tinus in a blue vase

The Viburnum in my garden is flowering beautifully, so I brought some stems indoors and stuck them in a blue glass vase that I got last week from the charity shop. The warmth of the kitchen has made the scent of the viburnum rather overpowering.

I decided I would play around with a still life. I found this old silk sari in a suitcase, and thought it made a rather lush ground. Inevitably a couple of apples and a lemon appeared on the scene. Is there a law that states that every still life must have at least three pieces of fruit?
