Unfaded memories

Our twins are 31! Those of you who follow my journal on Blipfoto and on FaceBook will note the strong resemblance of the new generation in our family to these 30-year old professionally taken, and now much faded, photos of Hannah and Ewan that I scanned in today. The photos may be faded but the memories are not!

Hubby and I are looking after Lola and Louie tonight to let their mum and dad have a child-free night in Aberdeen - a birthday present from us to Ewan. It's their first night out like this for nearly two years. After a wee hiccup with the baby monitor earlier and an ensuing mild panic to reset it, both kids are now sound in the land-of-nod. Hannah's birthday treat will need to wait a few weeks until we travel down to see them next month. However I know she's been well spoiled by Ed and their friends today and will have had a grand day.

Off now to enjoy a quiet supper in. It's good to be home!
