Revisit an old friend

After dropping both our children off respectively, Alex & I took a trip to Liverpool for a bit of a day out/change. We did originally talk about going away for the night, as we did last year but my purchasing of a dog put a stop to that...
Nonetheless, we headed into the Scouse city- a place that I have not had a daytime visit to for probably close to 10 years.
It was pleasant, we walked up around Liverpool One and then across over to the Docks and along my old running route to the Pier Head & my old workplace.
It was a day of reminiscing for me and I'm pretty sure Alex got bored of my anecdotes.
We walked up to Bold Street & (as always, when we visit a different city) perused the vintage shops.
Alex excitedly bought himself a waxed jacket (& put it on as soon as we left the shop!), and he got me the COOLEST 60's helmet style sheepskin hat. He picked it up as a joke but I ended up loving it so he bought it for me. I also got a brown carpet bag (even though I've got about a million bags...) and a pink tweedy skirt. Good purchases all round I think!
Once the shops closed, I suggested to go to this particular Italian that, when I worked in the city would frequently go to and always be violently sick afterwards..
It turned out the Casa Italia was the very same Italian that Alex had visited on the one time he had visited Liverpool years and years ago.
What are the chances!?!
All that is left now is to check if the Curse of the Casa still remains...
