Northern lights

Magic in the skies tonight - solar flares and galactic storms, causing a spectacular aurora, beautiful beyond words. I so so so want to see the northern lights - tonight I'm watching images being captured in and amongst the aurora, over Tromsø and I'm just awestruck. Starstruck. Lightstruck? Not so visible from Edinburgh, so instead, I must settle for some frankly glorious fairy lights. Not quite the same. But who's counting. And I look forward to my visit to Tromsø in June, by which time of course there will be permanent daylight. A totally different kind of awesome.
