Rusty drive shaft

This is part of an old saw bench given to me by a neighbour. Once there was a drive shaft through these openings. I like the old lid. Presumably for adding oil to the shaft.
Thanks you for your kind comments on my rust series. It is not my usual and has been quite challenging but really fun.
