God's Tabernacle:

Living in a little village, with only a small congregation attending the church, means we were experiencing difficulty when it came to paying the electricity bills.

To deal with this we erected a tent in the south aisle and just heated that with about five domestic electric fires. This provoked a favourable response in the ecclesiastical press as the opinion was that we had taken an unusual, sensible, and possibly unique step.

I must say it's a lot warmer now!
