Faded Golden Ripples

A quick look at the weather forecast meant getting up and out this morning. We wanted a quiet day so my lakeside walk would be enough fresh air today.

We had coffee and breakfast in the cafe first and then went for the walk. Being a Sunday, Trentham Gardens was busier than usual but that's to be expected.

There were even plenty of rowers and canoeists out on the lake - hardy souls!!

The light was quite muted with little cloud definition in the sky but great reflections on the lake. So I waited for the right moment to get the silhouette of this coot.

Back home and a day of domestics and relaxing...weekends fly by so quickly!!
