Path of giants

A beautiful day today, night frost and then clear blue skies. Certainly much colder than it was in the past weeks, but lovely for another brisk walk through the woods. Much of this enormous forest to the SE of Brussels used to be part of the Royal domains so these tree lined forest avenues and paths must have been leading from and to palaces, mansions and hunting lodges. I know I went against all rules of composition, even chopping off husband's legs and him in the middle too, but I wanted to show the length of these tree giants and there's only so much time to take a shot when I'm trailing behind ;-) By the way, husband is 6ft 3 / 1.91 m, so not exactly short himself !
