The Mermaid

Today mine and L's family met for the first time, and in the midst of all the excitement I forgot to take a picture!

So today my picture relates to the awful stormy weather we have been having in Cornwall. In the left hand corner of this picture you can faintly see The Mermaid cafe. Despite it's name, it is not used to being underwater.

We went down at high water tonight to check it was still in one piece, and as you can see, the water had come right up past it and up the street. L's parents haven't got the keys for it yet so we couldn't check inside, finders crossed the flood defences worked!
