I picked up a hire car (which had been unnecessarily upgraded to an over-large SUV) and we went across to Dunfermline to see the Pars beat Stranraer 3-2.

Then we headed off into the East Neuk to visit our friends in Crail. We had a most enjoyable evening of wining and dining and blethering.
