Festive again...
India has always been known as the land of festivals...legend has it that there is not even a single day in the entire calendar year which doesnt have any festival or ritual attached to it...some are though more popular than the others...diwali is one of the biggest Hindu festival that is celebrated across the length and the breadth of the country...on this day people decorate their homes and neighbourhood with lights and lamps...if you go out in any random city, you'll see an array of lights, candles and mud oil lamps lit up from horizon to horizon...the ones you see here are miniature earthen pots with coloured wax and wick inside them...I am only imagining how it will look when it is lit up on Saturday...these are made by differently abled children...there was a stall put up in office couple of days ago, selling various types of lamps and candles on the occasion of diwali...the money of course goes to the benefit of those children...
stumbled upon this video today...it is absolutely jaw-dropping...not only what she does but the passion with which she's doing it...must watch!
