Frosted Teasel

The hardest frost we have had so far this Winter so I ventured out early to buy cake for this afternoon and take the chance of walking back via the quarry path. Lots of things were rendered more photogenic with a covering of frost, including fence posts, gates, barbed wire and the occasional teasel like this one which is just about holding onto its frost on the right hand side. It was a really lovely and completely solitary walk, cold but bright and then home for a bit of a tidy up. A cup of tea and a catch up with friends this afternoon and now the anticipation of the third Sherlock.
