FORE!

Today we decided on a new route and went to Scratchwood Open Space for our daily walk. This is a lovely park and woodland area used by walkers and families during the day; by night it is well known for being frequented by those seeking a different activity entirely!

We wandered off into the woods, trying to keep to the paths (more mud bath than paths!) that would take us in a big loop back to our start point. However, when we got back we hadn't completed the four miles we normally walk and set off, once more, in the opposite direction. The paths were much less defined and we found ourselves out on Mill Hill Golf Club's fairway! It was very quiet so we wandered back along the edge of the fairway in the direction of the car. A few fun poses were taken on the way and when we reached the 18th hole, I took this shot of my good friend and walking partner, Julia.

Now ……… where's that 19th hole?!!!
