Ice

This field is part of a hotel that was built a few years ago, despite a lot of local objections, on the flood plain between the River Thames and an area of Oxford prone to flooding. The land the hotel is built on has been raised so water runs off its roofs and car parks into what remains of the flood plain.

I would love to know how it got planning permission.
