SundaySkies Robinson Preserve Historical House

We have finally had a beautiful Sunday here in Florida after several dismal rainy dreary Sundays. The sky was blue and the weather was pretty nice and was a great day to go to the Robinson Preserve. This house was saved by being barged down river from Palmetto Florida and sited at the entrance to Robinson Preserve. The preserve is a natural resource, a wonderful passive recreation park with walkways and waterways with wildlife galore. Manatee County purchased the land and did a magnificent restoration job taking it back to pristine conditions and adding some great hiking trails and a wonderful observation tower. So some future blips will be in order to share all that is special about this place. I have loved kayaking through the preserve and have gone on several nature wagon rides to survey the areas. When it was under construction I was able to walk the property and see the before, during and after behind the scenes. They have obtained more land and are expanding the preserve as it has been so popular. We will have some wonderful nature for posterity thanks to the county and their long range vision.
