Offshore Wind

The waves were bigger than usual today, and even though it did not seem unusually windy, the spray off the top of the waves added to the ocean's entertainment.

The waves did not look inviting and few surfers or swimmers were in the water. Mr. Fun commented several times that "the water looks like it is boiling."

At abot 2:00 pm, we had gone to Skipper's Restaurant to share a piece of pie and a cup of coffee for me and a soda for Mr. Fun and that put us in the vicinity of the pier. So we stayed to stare for a while.

Several hours later, back at the house, we watched a bright, bold sunset that arrived without a cloud in the sky to assist with the dimming. The entire length of the horizon from north to south was amazingly clear and was visible for easily 45-60 minutes beyond sundown.
