Koala-ty zoo

After being given the all-clear to return to holidaying mode (following her bites), Grandma and I took the wee man to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary today.

It's fair to say we had the true Australiana wildlife experience today, taking in dingoes, parrots, platypuses, wombats, Tasmanian devils and, of course, koalas. We even snuggled up close and fed the kangaroos.

The wee man loved it all, and proved quite the hit with some of the Asian tourists. At one point he was even more popular than the koalas themselves!

In a couple of hours Grandma and I will be heading to the airport where we'll hop on a flight down to Sydney. How could we bring Grandma all this way without showing her the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House? I trust Nikki and the wee man will have a slightly more relaxing time back to Brisbane.
