Seeing things differently

Having waded through the usual Monday chore list. Headed out for a dog walk before the light faded.

Usually I go for the bigger picture - or landscape but was fascinated by the felled hawthorn in the woods. The overnight rain had given it an almost polished effect and the striations were clear to see from the blade which cut it down.
