Sample Wedding Ring Quilt

A couple of years ago I made for the Shipley Art Gallery this quarter size Wedding Ring Quilt to be used with local schools and community groups to show how symbolism was used in textiles. I also made a replica 'Women's Co-operative ' Banner and knitted gansey samples. So, it was great to see them being used by a group I was working with who have just started making their own banner. Their banner will be made up of 30cm personal quilted squares expressing their emotions and feelings. We will be working on this over the month.
