The pool beneath the road
From the old road at the foot of Glen Kin, which itself bridges the confluence of two burns, you can see the present road crossing this pool, quiet today but flecked with the foam of its tributaries. The forestry track up the side of the glen was very much more eroded than the last time I was there, before the last rains had washed great ravines in its surface.
It was quiet and grey when I took this photo, but an hour later it was again wet and dreary.
