My eggs are not all in the same basket

Easter is almost here....is true i tell you!!!!

I have seen the Easter eggs (and other related confectionery) in the supermarkets.

These are not real eggs in the "actual" sense, but in a metaphorical they are very much are.

Every couple of days something new (a rose / worm / snail / cube / (or just a squashed blob named bob)) is "hatched" to spend a few days on my desk before the end of its life (by mercilessly crushing / squashing / cutting)
