.....cracking blue sky day, work going well and a blip flashmob pint organised in the Oxford Bar for afternoon when suddenly.........George God whacked me with the unlucky stick and my bike gears exploded.....what can you say?. Now I'm covered in bike oil, and worse, have no pint of frothy, hoppy Deuchars IPA in my belly......pah!

Edit @ 15:45 BST: The gear mechanism died on the operating table this afternoon.......sniff.

Edit @ 18:00 BST: New gears, chain and repaired wheel cost me 80 bucks, that's 29 pints of Deuchars IPA.....bummer.

Edit@ 20:00 BST: But hey, it's the weekend, LLCoolJim's been round for fat chewing session and I'm hunkering down with a beer, the radio and a good book...oh, and the BBC4 prog on Synth Britannia. Have a cracking weekend.
