The busy trip home

Today we started the journey home. We started off by heading back to the White Cliffs at Dover to see if we could see them in better weather. We had a lovely walk down the beach watching the tide come in and the sea spray being blown everywhere.

As a special treat, we then headed to the Hornby train factory for a snack and wander round the shop. We let CJ choose a toy from the store - he went straight past the trains and cars to a little blue tractor. He refused to let it go and played with it all the way back to the car.

We then headed to Whitstable for some Oysters on the beach. Well, S2 had Oysters, while CJ and I had fish'n'chips. And of course we had an ice cream for dessert.

Our final stop was to visit our friends D&L. It was great to catch up with them before we head north. L even offered to give CJ his milk before we jumped in the car for the drive home.
