Split Raw image
This building is a rather odd style for a Law Court. It stands in the centre of Preston, Lancashire, UK. The pic was shot from the multi storey car park overlooking the twin track road in front of it. For anyone interested, the sky was rather pale, so I opened two RAW files, altered the exposure for the sky on one, darkening it and altered the foreground on the other, dragged the pale sky one on top of the darker foreground one, selected it, hit "delete" and was left with the pic you see here...a quick and easy way to get the best result by balancing a sky with the foreground. Sounds a bit tricky but it's simple and took me less than five minutes!
